HYDERABAD, Oct 14: Supporters of the former information secretary of the PPP, Hyderabad district, Sheeba Amir Zardari, and her husband staged a demonstration in front of the press club here on Tuesday to protest against their expulsion from the party.Later, over one dozen activists observed a hunger strike. They also burned the effigy of the acting district president of the PPP, Amanullah Siyal.

Ms Sheeba and her husband said that allegations levelled against them were false and said that they had demanded appointment of an inquiry committee comprising writers and journalists to probe into the allegations but this demand had been ignored by the party’s leadership.

PPP-SB: Activists of the students and youth wings of the Pakistan People’s Party-SB staged a demonstration in front of the press club to protest against the alleged hooliganism of the PPP workers.

Speaking on the occasion, Amin Viko, Imran Shah, Shahab Shaikh, Wazir Khokhar and others alleged that in connivance with the police, the PPP workers were victimising PPP-SB group activists. They said that only a few days back, portraits of Z.A.Bhutto, Mir Murtaza Bhutto, Ms Ghinwa Bhutto and other Bhutto family members were damaged in Pathan colony.
