KARACHI: Deposed CJ due on 18th

KARACHI, Oct 14: President of the Karachi Bar Association Mahmood-ul-Hassan has announced that lawyers, civil society, students and people from all walks of life will welcome the deposed chief justice of the Supreme Court, Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, on his arrival here on Oct 18.

Speaking at a press briefing here at the City Courts on Tuesday, the KBA president, accompanied by KBA’s general secretary Naeem Qureshi, said the deposed chief justice would be taken to the Malir Bar from the airport for a brief stopover. He would later proceed to attend a lawyers’ convention in Hyderabad. Supreme Court Bar Association President Chaudhary Aitzaz Ahsan and a large number of lawyers would accompany him, Mr Hassan said.— Staff Reporter
