GUJRANWALA, Oct 13: Two dozen Afghans studying in local seminaries were arrested by police on Monday for non-registration.
Police said the government had already informed the administrations of seminaries to get the Afghans registered.
It said the arrests from Shaheenabad and other seminaries were made in line with the government policy to trace the Afghans staying in Pakistan illegally.
Police said that more seminaries would be checked in coming days.
BAIL: The local anti-terrorism court No 2 on Monday accepted the interim bail of 15 accused, including the Kharian tehsil nazim, in the murder case of four people. The court ordered the accused to submit surety bonds of Rs 50,000 each.
Kharian Tehsil Nazim Asghar Kaira and 14 other accused, still absconding, have managed interim bail till 18th.
