KARACHI, Oct 11: Hyderi Baloch thrashed District Central champions Maymar Sports 4-0 in the resuming match of Sports 360’s KASB Premier League Football (PLF) at the CDGK Stadium on Friday.

It was Hyderi Baloch’s fourth victory in the five matches that they have played so far, including one draw, taking their points to 13 while enabling them to lead the table by pushing ahead of Karachi Kickers on better goal average.

However, it was the first loss for Maymar Sports, who have 10 points from their three wins, one draw and this loss.

It was Hyderi Baloch’s match throughout with their frontrunners Ijaz Bhutto, Ghulam Farooq, Shehroze Khan and Nawaz Ali in collaboration with midfielders Badar Qadir and Riaz Ahmed, launching constant attacks on the rival team, creating problems for their defenders and goalkeeper Hameedullah.

Still most of the first half remained barren with the first goal coming in the 45th minute through a penalty kick awarded to the winners by referee Khalid Mumtaz when Maymar’s defender Mohammad Amin, as a result of rough play, tripped Hyderi’s striker Nawaz Ali inside the penalty area. The kick was taken by defender Zulqarnain. The score was 1-0 at interval.

The second session saw three more goals by the winners. Ghulam Farooq converted Shehroze Khan’s cross pass in the 73rd minute.

In the final 10 minutes midfielder Badar Qadir, eldest son of former Pakistan skipper Qadir Bakhsh Baloch, scored two goals one after the other (84th and 88th minute) through his individual effort.
