Karachi Port operations

KARACHI, Oct 11: Nine ships, including Royal Success carrying imported wheat and to load cement and ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where seven ships, including two tankers and a bulk carrier were berthed on Saturday. They are: Y.M. Improvemen, Hanjin Qingbo, Oel Transworld and Eric G. Gibson, with containers, Adriatic Arrow, bulk carrier, Quetta and Sinar Agra, both tankers.

Seven vessels, including Hermann Scan, Gulf Tiger, FAR Singapore, Sima Pride, Blida, Sinar Agra and Hanjin Qingbo departed on Saturday, while Ramalah, Y.M. Improvement, Eric G. Gibson, Quetta, Valbella, Bavaria Express, Adriatic Arrow and Da Tian are due to sail out on Sunday.

A total cargo volume of 88,255 tons, comprising 16,659 tons of exports and 71,596 tons of imports was handled on Saturday.

The ships due on Sunday are: Pacific Arrow and Lucky Arrow to load cement, Sun Neptune and Ninos, to load ethanol, Royal Success, with 30,637 tons of imported wheat, Industrial Dream, with project cargo, Ninos and Arnis, with containers, and Makran for repair.

The ships due on Monday are: Mariana, with jet oil, and Lalazar, with crude oil.
