IJT demo

LAHORE, Oct 10: The Islami Jamiat Tulaba (IJT) staged a protest demonstration outside Punjab University’s Jamia Masjid on Friday against America and demanded release of Dr Aafia.

The protesters led by IJT Nazim Hafiz Suhaib Ammar chanted slogans against the US and burnt an American flag.Meanwhile, the Insaaf Students Federation distributed hundreds of pamphlets outside the Jamiat Masjid .protest: On the call of Awami Jamhoori Forum, a protest demonstration was held against Garhi Shahu blasts on Friday.

The protesters, including women, children, students and traders, marched from Allama Iqbal Road up to the Lahore Press Club, raising slogans against perpetrators of the blasts.

Speaking to the demonstrators, forum’s secretary-general Jamil Omar, Dr Afshan Zaheer, Ms Sadia and others condemned the blasts and demanded that the government should provide a security cover to the people by taking stringent measures against terrorists.
