ISLAMABAD, Oct 10: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has condemned the suicide attack on the Jirga at Orakzai Agency that resulted in loss of many lives and reiterated government’s resolve to fight the menace of terrorism and extremism.

Mr Gilani also directed the law-enforcement agencies to initiate immediate inquiry into this “act of terrorism” and bring the perpetrators to book, said a statement issued here on Friday.

“Those playing with the lives of innocent people will not escape the wrath of Allah and the law of the land,” the PM said.

He instructed the law-enforcement agencies to keep strong vigil on the miscreants who wanted to create law and order situation in the country and hinder its progress and prosperity.
