HYDERABAD: Nazim seeks speedy development work

HYDERABAD, Oct 10: Reviewing the pace of development work in the district, District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil directed the officials concerned to complete the schemes in time keeping quality on top. This he said during a meeting of district government officials at his secretariat to review the pace of work of development schemes.

The meeting particularly reviewed the progress of Latifabad Unit No. 7 flyover, Ghangra Mori bypass, Akram Wah, Pinyari canal and Lined Channel bridges, Rani Bagh, Jamshoro filter plant and the desilting of Wadhu Wah.

District nazim instructed the officials and contractors to give priority to bridges on Akram Wah, Pinyari Canal and Lined Channel and also called for desilting Wadhu Wah (canal) as early so that normal water flow could be ensured for Rani Bagh plantation.Presiding another meeting at the City Taluka Council Hall late Thursday, Kanwar Jamil directed speedy work on water supply and drainage schemes. Besides officers, MPAs Syed Waseem Hussain and Akram Adil, Taluka Nazim Ghulam Shabbar Chishti and nazims of the UCs attended the meeting.

District Nazim said that the city taluka was densely populated and a hub of business activities and as such water supply and drainage schemes in all UCs should be completed without delay. He directed the taluka municipal administration to adopt effective measures to dispose of sewerage water by cleansing the drains.

SENIORITY LIST: The Education Department Hyderabad here on Friday submitted a list of 105 teachers and staff for promotion to District Nazim Hyderabad, Kanwar Naveed Jamil.

He had appointed a three-member committee to complete legal formalities and display the final list on the official website www.hyderabad.gov.pk.

He directed the Education Department to submit a list of the PST and the HST teachers fell vacant after retirements and promotions. He also asked the DCO Hyderabad to direct various district government departments to prepare seniority list of employees.
