NAWABSHAH: JI vows to continue train march

NAWABSHAH, Oct 9: Chief of the Jamaat-i-Islami, Sindh, Maulana Asadullah Bhutto, said that the in-camera session of the parliament would prove to be fruitless if the government continued pursuing US-backed policies in the country.

Talking to journalists at the press club here on Thursday, Mr Bhutto said that the purpose of the JI’s train march was to highlight the problems being faced by the public and not to destabilise the government.

He said that the rulers were issuing statements to spread fear among the masses about the march. He said despite all propaganda, the march would continue.

He said that the train march of the JI would reach Nawabshah on Oct 15.

HOLIDAY: The Nawabshah district government has announced a public holiday on October 13 on account of the Urs of Hazrat Sakhi Jam Datar.

A meeting regarding the arrangements of the three-day Urs celebrations was held at the office of DCO Khursheed Naeem Malik. — Correspondent
