KARACHI, Oct 9: The Sindh population welfare department has decided not to accept recommendations of the Sindh Public Service Commission regarding recruitment of 124 medical officers.

A spokesman for the department stated on Thursday that the decision had been taken in pursuance of a Sindh High Court ruling on CPD-137, D-1475 and D-1395 cases for the reasons recorded in the order passed by the competent authority. He said directives had been issued to re-advertise the BS-17 vacancies being offered on a contract basis.—PPI
