KARACHI, Oct 9: Four ships carrying containers, wheat and coke were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, three more ships with containers, wheat and furnace oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.Eight ships, AI-Isha’a, Rosa-M, Jaipur, Richmond, Apostolos, Chemitic, Irish Sea and Giovanni, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, wheat, palm oil, diesel oil and coke.

A cargo volume of 98,591 tons comprising 85,202 tons of import and 13,389 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Coal Pride, AI-Isha’a, Chemitic and Irish Sea sailed out while Rosa-M was expected to depart.
