KARACHI, Oct 9: Eleven ships carrying palm oil, containers and to load ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where eight ships, Hyundai Tiger, Sima Pride and Soon Fu to unload and load containers, Zhen Hua-5, Abrar and Hennan Scan to unload and load general cargo, Gulf Tiger, an oil tanker, and Alam Selamat, a bulk carrier, were accommodated berths after the departure of four on Thursday.

The departing ships were led by Aternon, Kota Express, Hiblya Park and Soon Fu, while Hyundai Baron, Sima Pride, Kapitan Byankin, Blida, Gulf Tiger and Far Singapore are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 76,654 tons comprising 27,303 tons of export cargo and 49,351 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Stolt Acacia and North Pole to load ethanol, Hornlone to load naphtha, Dolphine with palm oil, Hankub Ningho, Sima Sahba, Y.M. Improvement, Eric G. Gibson with containers, Samsum Pioneer with coal, Karia Omavra with machinery and Bolan with general cargo.
