Farmers’ clash leaves two dead

MIRPURKHAS, Oct 7: Two people died and two others were injured in a clash between two groups of farmers over drinking water for cattle from Nabisar Shakh near Jeeyando Nohani village in the Bodar Farm area of Umerkot district on Monday.

Two groups of farmers after exchanging hot words exchanged fire as result of which Mir Khan Nohani, 35, and Bhoro Nohani, 55, were killed on the spot and Noor Mohammed and Faiz Mohammed sustained serious injuries. They were rushed to Samaro taluka hospital and later referred to LMUH Hyderabad.

Bodar Farm police shifted the bodies to civil hospital Umerkot for autopsy. DPO Umerkot Abdul Hadi Bullo visited the spot along with SPOs Samaro, Kunri and Umerkot.

Mohammed Essa Nohani, son of the deceased Mir Khan Nohani, lodged a murder case with Bodar Farm police against eight accused.
