HYDERABAD: Classes begin at SAU

HYDERABAD, Oct 7: The Sindh Agriculture University has announced that regular classes in all the faculties including the department of information and food technologies have started and admissions to the second semester in all the faculties are also under way.

The university has fixed Oct 11 as the last date for depositing admission fees and advised the students to attend their classes regularly as 75 per cent attendance is mandatory for appearing in the examination.

Meanwhile, the university’s acting vice-chancellor, Prof Nizamuddin Halepoto, has assured that all the problems of the teachers, students and employees will be resolved on a priority basis.

He gave this assurance while presiding over a meeting of the university officials here on Tuesday.

He said, if any one had any problem, he could directly approach the vice-chancellor.

The meeting was attended by the university registrar, hostel provost, director students’ affairs, security officer and officials of the Rangers and police.

He directed that the security at the campus should be beefed up and all facilities should be provided to the hostellers.
