KARACHI: Five-year-old killed by water tanker

KARACHI, Oct 6: A five-year-old boy was killed when he was run over by a water tanker on Monday. Police said Farhan was playing in front of his home in Manzoor Colony when he was hit and killed by a fast-moving water tanker.

The errant driver escaped the scene.

Area people gathered on the spot and tried to damage the vehicle, but police reached the spot and controlled the situation.

Electrocuted

A man who was allegedly trying to cut off an electric cable was electrocuted in Lyari on Monday.

Police said the incident occurred near Massan Chowk where, according to area people, the man was trying to pilfer the electric cable when he was knocked out.

Police shifted the body to the Civil Hospital. The victim could not be identified till late in the night.
