HYDERABAD, Oct 5: Pakistan People’s Party MNA Nawab Abdul Ghani Talpur has said that prime minister has directed the railway department to prepare a summary for construction of an overhead bridge at the Kotri telegraph railway crossing.

In a statement, the MNA also said that at his request and that of Jamshoro District Nazim Malik Asad Sikandar, President Asif Ali Zardari had constituted a committee to investigate into the use of substandard construction material at the Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine project.

He said that the president had issued the directive that the project should be completed strictly in accordance with the proposal of Ms Benazir Bhutto.

The MNA said that he had floated a proposal to the government that another industrial zone should be established near the Kotri Site where land was available. He said that he had proposed that the new industrial zone should be exempted from taxes for three years.

He appealed to the chairmen of Kotri and Nooriabad sites to provide jobs to local people as per rules.
