SAHIWAL, Oct 4: A gang of cattle-lifters took away animals, cash and mobile phones on a truck here in village 52-A/GD, Noor Shah, on Friday night.
Police said Iqbal, his father Hatim and cousin Sikandar used to sleep at an outhouse where animals were kept.
On Friday night, six dacoits entered the outhouse, awoke them and tied them with ropes.
They loaded four buffaloes, two oxen and as many cows on a truck and also took away Rs8,000 in cash and mobile phones.
A case has been registered.
KIDNAPPED: A businessman’s son was allegedly kidnapped for ransom during Eid days.
Reports said Haji Asghar Ali’s son Chand went to a CNG station but did not return home.
Later, the kidnapper contacted the family on phone and demanded Rs30 million for his release.
Police have recovered his car from Qadirabad, GT Road.
In another incident, a 16-year-old boy went missing from 95/6-R on Friday night.
Reports said Saeed of 90/9-L visited his sister in village 95/6-R from where he went to a nearby ‘tandoor’, but did not return.
Police have registered a case.
