KARACHI: Low turnout at courts

KARACHI, Oct 4: A very low turnout of litigants and lawyers was witnessed at the City Courts and the Malir District Courts on Saturday when they reopened after three days on account of Eidul Fitr.

Although the staff and judicial officers turned up, hearing of most cases had to be adjourned as parties involved stayed absent. The prisoners, whose cases were scheduled to be heard on Saturday, were brought to the courts concerned but the proceedings could not be held for various reasons.—APP
