LAHORE, Sept 30: A five-member team including a coach will participate in the Under-19 World Badminton Championship to be held at Pune, India, from Oct 24 to Nov 2.

The team is scheduled to leave for India through the Wagah border on Oct 4. The early departure would also enable the players to benefit from two weeks of training from Asian coaches at Hyderabad, India, prior to the world event.

“This will be the second time for the U-19 players to get coaching in India, boarding, lodging and other arrangements for which will be taken care of by the Asian Badminton Confederation,” said Syed Naqi Mohsin, Senior Vice President of the Pakistan Badminton Federation.

Players: Ali Murad, Arslan Khan, Mohammad Irfan Bhatti, Taimur Arab, Awais Zahid

Coach: Mohammad Naeem.
