KARACHI, Sept 30: Six ships carrying containers, RBD palm oil and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where seven ships, Islan Star to load cement, Intrepid to offload coal, Ainaftis, Bunga Teratai Dua, Anna-E and Sinar Bintan to unload and load containers, Gloria to offload and load general cargo and Velentine, an oil tanker, were berthed after the departure of five.

The departing ships were led by United Asia, Batavia, Valiant, Great Leader and Vaterntine, while Ainaftis, Sinar Bintan and Gulf Bridge are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was relatively slow owing to fall in liquid tonnage and amounted to 81,120 tons comprising 30,935 tons of export cargo including 2,045 tons of rice and 50,185 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Chemitec with 5,000 tons of RBD palm oil, China Star, Cordelia, H.H. Tide, Hyundai Admiral with containers and Elena to load 14,500 tons of cement.

The following are due on Thursday: Lalazar with crude oil, Navision Bulker with urea, Al-Abdulla to load cement and Iron Butterfly with project cargo.
