Govt to raise wheat support price
ISLAMABAD, Sept 28: The federal government is likely to raise the wheat support price to about Rs800 per 40kg from Rs625 at a cabinet meeting on Monday. According to official sources, the decision to raise the price was not taken in the last cabinet meeting because of differences among the provinces. Punjab wanted a substantial increase but other provinces opposed it.—Ahmed Hasan
