HYDERABAD, Sept 27: The managing director the Pakistan Electric Power Company (Pepco), Fazal Ahmed Khan, has directed the relevant officials of the Hyderabad Electricity Supply Company (Hesco) to disconnect power supply to defaulters and to launch a recovery campaign.
He issued these directives during a briefing about the performance of the Hesco held here.
Mr Khan said it should be made clear to the consumers that the Hesco itself was purchasing electricity and therefore it was the duty of the consumers to pay their outstanding dues. If the officials failed to achieve the recovery targets, strict action would be taken against them, he said.—Bureau
