KARACHI, Sept 26: Six ships carrying imported wheat, urea and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Flag Investor, Wu Yi Hai, both bulk cargo carriers, Abtin-1, to unload and load containers and Clipper Trinidad, an oil tanker were berthed after the departure of seven.

The ships, which sailed out included MOL Affinity, Pacific Arrow, Aqua Star, Soon Fu, APL Shenzhen and Northern Harmony, while Xu Chang Hai, Johar and Pheafan are due to sail out on Saturday.A total tonnage of 113,000 tons comprising 31,472 tons of export cargo and 81,901 tons of import tonnage was handled on Friday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Giorgis with 34,500 tons of imported wheat, Vertigo with 23,973 tons of urea, Eric G. Gibson, and Deja Bhum with containers, Valiant with crude oil and Valentine with jet oil.
