TIMIKA, (Indonesia), Sept 25: Five Australians detained after illegally landing a light plane in the sensitive Indonesian province of Papua are facing jail sentences of more than five years, police said on Thursday.

“The indications that we have from our preliminary investigation shows that they could be charged with violating Indonesian laws on transportation and immigration,” Papua police chief Bagus Eko Danto said.—AFP
