HYDERABAD, Sept 23: A seven-year-old girl died after slipping from the school stairway on observing police raiding her house, next-door.

Pinyari police raided the house of Nizam Magsi in search of his brother, Raza Magsi, reportedly wanted in some case.

Nizam’s niece Perya studying in an adjacent school witnessed the raid and perhaps because of panic could not keep her balance and went tumbling down. She received serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital where she breathed her last.

Later, her family protested outside the police station and identified two policemen conducting the raid.

YOUTH RESCUED: Hatri police recovered 17-year-old Shahnawaz Chandio near Saeedabad on Tuesday.

Three people had kidnapped Shahnawaz from Goth Dero Khan Chandio. Police on receiving information sealed all routes and chased the kidnappers.

Police arrested them near Saeedabad and recovered the kidnapped youth. The accused were identified as Gul Pathan, Kajeer Khan and Tariq Hameed.—Bureau
