Clash over mosque control

TOBA TEK SINGH, Sept 22: Two rival groups clashed over the formation of a mosque management committee at Jamia Masjid Ghausia of Javed Colony in Gojra on Sunday night.

The scuffle left over a dozen people injured, of them six were hospitalised.

A police official said people from a sect wanted to have a say in the mosque management committee, while the other sect opposed it. This led to an argument and in the ensuing scuffle over a dozen people from both sides were injured.

Looted: Two robbers looted Rs55,000, a mobile phone and other valuables from the ice factory of Majid Ali near Janiwala.—Correspondent
