Trader looted

THATTA, Sept 22: A wholesale trader was deprived of Rs116,000 in Mohalla Shah Kawal on Monday.

Three armed men entered the shop of Ajmal Hashmani and held the employees hostage at gunpoint.

They collected around Rs116,000 and snatched two cellphones from the manager of the shop, Abdul Hafeez Junejo and swiftly fled. Probe into the matter is under way.

ARMS SEIZED: Police seized illegal arms during a raid near Thatta Cement Factory. Acting on a tip-off, a police team conducted a raid on a house in Chandia village near the cement factory and arrested seven persons.
