KARACHI, Sept 22: Three ships carrying containers and palm oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, four more ships with containers, coke and furnace oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Seven ships, Coy Maersk Virginia, Miyunhe, Nordina-G, Captain Markos, S.D Glory, Eastern Bright and Pas Dignity, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, wheat, palm oil and coal.

A cargo volume of 63,590 tons comprising 46,675 tons of import and 16,915 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Qemstar and Miyunhe sailed out while Maersk Virginia, Nordina-G and Eastern Bright were expected to depart.
