KARACHI: Man shot dead

KARACHI, Sept 21: A 30-year-old man was shot dead in Qayyumabad.

The Korangi police said that Mohammed Javed, son of Ghulam Qadir, was sitting outside his house when two unknown men on a motorcycle opened fire killing him instantly.

The body was shifted to the JPMC where sources said that the victim had received three bullets from a close range.

The police have registered a case against the unknown culprits on the complaint of the victim’s brother, Mohammed Yasin.

Police said that the incident seemed to be motivated by a personal feud.

Liquor seized

A raiding team of the excise department on Sunday seized 150 bottles of local liquor being transported by a taxi, which was intercepted near the Askari Park, APP adds.

The taxi driver, identified as Afzal Hussain, was arrested.
