KHAIRPUR, Sept 19: An X-ray technician of Khairpur Civil Hospital was killed in his quarter by unidentified thieves late on Thursday night.

Thieves entered the residential quarter of Mohammad Qasim Solangi. The inmates woke up and resisted. The thieves attacked Mohammad Qasim with sticks as a result of which he died on the spot.

Body of the deceased was taken to his native village Hajna Shah after post-mortem.

After the murder, fear gripped staff of the hospital. The staff and employees of the hospital, including lower staff, vaccinators, doctors and paramedical staff staged a protest demonstration in the premises of the hospital on Friday against murder. They gave a three-day ultimatum to Khairpur police to arrest the murderers.
