CHARSADDA: Constable shot dead

CHARSADDA, Sept 19: A police constable was shot dead over a petty dispute in the jurisdiction of Nisata police station here on Friday.

According to the FIR lodged by Amin, brother of the deceased police constable Farman Ali, the accused Iftikhar, Mohammad Jan, and Muzamil of Turlandai opened indiscriminate fire on the constable after exchange of hot words with him over a brawl among their children, killing him on the spot.

The Nisata police registered case against the accused and started search for their arrests.

JUI PROTEST: The Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl held a protest demonstration against the US and allied forces’ attacks in tribal areas and violation of Pakistan’s borders and air space here on Friday.
