KARACHI, Sept 19: Seven ships carrying chemicals, base oil and two cement loaders are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Seven ships, Aqua Star to load cement, Calvin P. Titus, Tower Bridge, Empress Phoenix to unload and load containers, Arcadia to offload imported rapeseed consignment and Chemway Arrow, an oil tanker, were accommodated berths on Friday after the departure of five.

The departing ships were led by APL Cairo, Hyundai Duke, City of Xiamen, Conti-Express and Ben Aicha, while Valiant, Sima Sahba, Tower Bridge, Calvin P. Titus, Hellenci Horizon, Empress Phoenix and Blida are due to sail out o Saturday.

A total tonnage of 112,000 tons comprising 56,258 tons of export cargo including 8,523 tons of cement and 20,200 tons of clinker and 55,399 tons of import tonnage was handled on Friday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Bengal Orchid with chemicals, CS Crane with base oil, Sima Pride with containers, Adriatic Arrow and Super Star-3 to load 9,500 and 12,000 tons of cement, Scan Oceanic with project cargo and Pheafan with general cargo.
