Nawaz changes itinerary

Published September 19, 2008

LAHORE, Sept 18: PML-N patron Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif along with his wife Begum Kulsoom is reaching here from London in the early hours of Friday.

Mr Sharif had gone abroad after the presidential poll for the medical check-up of Begum Kulsoom, and from there he was scheduled to directly go to Saudi Arabia and stay there until Eidul Fitr.

However, party sources say he had been requested to change his itinerary and spent a couple of days in Pakistan for consultations on ‘raising pressure on the PPP to force it quit the coalition government in Punjab’.

The PML-N has earlier dissociated itself from the PPP-led ruling alliance in the centre over the judges’ issue.
