Gulshan FC hold Hyderi Baloch to 1-1 draw

KARACHI, Sept 16: A 1-1 draw between Hyderi Baloch and Gulshan Football Club enabled both sides to share one point each in the KASB Premier League Football match played at the CDGK Stadium on Monday night.

It was the third league match for both teams and with it Hyderi Baloch, who have two wins from their previous encounters with Lal Bakhsh Memorial and Baloch Mujahid, has seven points while Gulshan is lagging behind with only two.

Hyderi Baloch were the first ones to score through their striker Ghulam Farooq off a pass from Ijaz Bhutto in the 20th minute. This was followed by several other attempts by Hyderi’s strikers Mohammad Imran, Shehroz Khan, Ghulam Farooq and Ijaz Bhutto but all got blocked by Gulshan’s keeper Adnan with able assistance from his team defenders Akbar Ali, Asif Aslam and Faqir Mohammad.

Hyderi Baloch led 1-0 at interval.

The second session saw Gulshan FC’s strikers Liaquat Ali, Asif Bakhsh, Javed Hamza and Nadeem Baloch trying their level best to get their team out of trouble but were denied by Hyderi’s goalie Murad Bakhsh. Then one minute into extra injury time saw Gulshan FC getting a corner, which their substitute striker Abdul Razzak managed to convert in order to save his side from defeat.

The match also saw both of Gulshan’s departmental players, namely, Akbar Ali and Javed Hamza getting yellow cards from match referee Mohammad Ashraf.
