KARACHI, Sept 16: The first day’s match in the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Six-a-side Under-18 Ramazan Floodlight Football Tournament underway here at Gulberg Town’s T-Ground saw Hadi Tabani XI beating Coca Cola XI 6-3.

Striker Motashim Siddiqui became the tournament’s first hat-trick scorer with goals in the sixth, ninth and 18th minutes for the winners while skipper Amil Tabani was the major contributor, creating opportunities for his team members to convert into goals while also defending his half. The 40-minute match with 20-minute halves saw three goals coming off the first half with Hadi Tabani XI leading by 3-0.

The second session saw the winners adding another three through midfielder Waleed (24th min), midfielder Wajahat (27th min) and striker Ahmed (39th min).

Striker Jalal bin Tariq (26th and 28th mins) and Humayun Bashir (37th min) were the scorers for the losing side.

Meanwhile, the side tournament — Hadi Saleem Tabani Memorial Football tournament for clubs — saw Young Azizabad beating Aurora FC 3-0 and Rizwan Sports edging past Young Mala 2-1.

The first two goals in the first match came through international striker Shahid Saleem (10th and 15th mins), while skipper Mohammad Shahid contributed the third in the 38th minute.

In the second match between Rizwan Sports and Young Mala, striker Sher Ali scored both goals (18th and 39th mins) for the winners while striker Mir Jan got the lone goal for Young Mala in the 25th minute.

Both tournaments conclude on Sept 21 with the celebrating of the FIFA Fair Play Day by the AFC Aid-27 coaches Nasir Ismail, Saleem Patli, Zafar Iqbal and Hassan Baloch, also the tournament organisers.
