SUKKUR, Sept 16: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah is of the view that the deposed chief justice of Sindh high court, Justice Sabihuddin Ahmed, and other deposed judges would take oath soon.

He expressed the hope that deposed chief justice of Supreme Court Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary would also take oath.

He was replying to questions of journalists in Sukkur on Tuesday after condoling with his adviser Pehlaj Mal over the death of his brother Thawar Das.

Mr Shah said that independent judiciary was important for country, therefore we want all deposed judges to take oath.

In reply to a question about the National Finance Commission award, he said that their stance was same i.e., division on the basis of revenue and resources but added suggestions of other provinces would not be rejected.

He said that the NFC award issue was not resolved in the past but the matter would now be resolved amicably.

About shortage of urea fertilizer in Sindh, he said that the government was making efforts to overcome its shortage and hoped its solution by Eid.

Mr Shah said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) doesn’t believe in politics of victimization and being the largest democratic party, it will not try to destabilise the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) government in Punjab.

Later, the chief minister left for Karachi.
