QUETTA, Sept 16: Mismanagement marred the distribution of food and other items of daily use among the needy people under the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Ramazan package here on Tuesday. The organisers used batons to disperse a large number of women who stormed the camp arranged by the provincial government at the Officers Club to distribute flour, pulses, rice, sugar and ghee.

The crowd gathered at the place even before trucks carrying the goods had reached there. As soon as the trucks arrived, the women mobbed them and tried to get whatever they could lay their hands on. A large number of women left without taking anything. Talking to media personnel, provincial Minister for Minorities and Women Development Ghazala Gola, who was supervising the distribution, said that the Pakistan People’s Party was determined to helping the poor and the downtrodden.
