Port Qasim


KARACHI, Sept 16: Three ships carrying wheat, chemicals and iron ore were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a Port Qasim Authority press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, two more container ships also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Six ships, Maersk Novazzano, Energy Falcon, Al-Qawiyyu, Med Salvador, Yanaseni and Karolina, were busy in loading/offloading containers, wheat, rapeseeds, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 28,452 tons comprising 18,264 tons of import and 10,188 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Maersk Novazzano, Melpomeni and Yanaseni sailed out while Energy Falcon was expected to leave the port.
