HYDERABAD, Sept 15: The University of Sindh and affiliated degree colleges decided to take measures for regular candidates to improve quality of education and start admissions.

A high level meeting of Principals of affiliated degree colleges of Sindh University jurisdiction on Monday.

The meeting discussed different measures to improve educational system in colleges affiliated with the University as well as schedule for admissions and examination for 2008 regular candidates.

In order to improve quality education, the meeting decided to conduct regular classes and examination in time during the vacation period.

The meeting formed a seven-member consultative committee for examination ( Regular) to propose schedule for commencement of admissions for year 2008-2009 and annual examination 2008.

The vice-chancellor said that he often reminded teachers and students to double their efforts during the holy month of Ramzan as revealed in Quran to Holy Prophet (PBUH).

Later, the Consultative Committee met under the chairmanship of Pro-vice chancellor Dr. Rafia Ahmed Shaikh and resolved that admissions to affiliated degree colleges would commence from Sept 6 and continue up to Nov 15,” 2008.

The committee meeting decided that Annual Examinations of 2008 of regular college side candidates will be conducted with effect from December 30, 2008.
