KARACHI, Sept 13: Two ships carrying containers and chemicals were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday.

Meanwhile, another ship carrying palm oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Nine ships, Ibn Sina, Maersk Georgia, Energy Falcon, Melpoment, Med Salvador, Oak Galaxy, Prem Pride, Diamond Coral and Hellenic Horizon, were busy in loading/offloading containers, clinker, wheat, rapeseed, palm oil, crude oil, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 77,230 tons comprising 47,330 tons of import and 29,900 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Maersk Georgia, Oak Galaxy and Prem Pride sailed out while Ibn Sina and Diamond Cora were expected to leave the port.
