KARACHI, Sept 13: Seven ships carrying rapeseed and to load molasses and cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Sea Bridge to load cement, Rhoneborg to unload and load containers, Kanh Hing to offload fertiliser and Doris to unload crude oil.

Sailing was also modest as four ships, Y.M. Initiative, Ibn Sina, Noor-e-Madina and New Setokaze departed on Saturday, while Olympia, Doris, Obs Swathy and Navision Bulker are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was relatively slow where a total tonnage handled fell to 63,523 tons as compared to 101,000 tons a day earlier owing to lesser handling of liquid tonnage.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Ben Aicha to load 13,000 molasses, Csav Lonquimay, Seven Seas Aurora and Hyundai Duke with containers, Hellenice Horizon to load clinker, Aqua Star to load cement and Creio Di Venezas with 30,000 tons of rapeseed oil.
