LAHORE, Sept 12: The Traffic police fined 7,323 smoke-emitting vehicles since the start of anti-pollution drive in June, according to the data released by the Environment Protection Department (EPD) of Punjab. A total revenue of Rs2.802 million was generated. Rickshaws were the biggest offenders (3,397) followed by cars/pick-ups (1,289).
As many as 23 vehicles were also impounded during the drive.—Staff Reporter
