Zafar brings win for Sindh Police


KARACHI, Sept 11: S.M. Zafar produced a splendid all-round performance to guide Sindh Police to a six-wicket win over the Royal Bank of Scotland in the 23rd Karachi Gymkhana Twenty20 Ramazan cricket tournament at the KG Ground on Wednesday.

Zafar claimed three wickets for 25 with his medium-pace bowling and then made a hurricane 44 not out off 16 deliveries with three fours and as many sixes to power his team to an easy win.

Sindh Police reached the target with seven balls to spare. Besides Zafar Fahad Jabbar cracked one six in his 41 off 39 balls.

Earlier, the Royal Bank scored 147 all out in 19.4 overs with former Test opener Imran Nazir striking three boundaries and four sixes in his rapid 20-ball 40 while Asad Younus slammed three fours in his 31.
