HYDERABAD, Sept 11: The Sindh Agriculture University Teachers Association, at a meeting, has expressed concern over prevailing situation at the campus and constituted a six-member committee to mediate between the employees and university administration.

Dr Ameer Bux Kalhoro, who will head the committee, presided over the meeting.

The university employees are on strike for more than a month to press the authorities to remove the vice-chancellor for his alleged corruption and incompetence.

Meanwhile, deputy registrar (administration) of the university said in a circular that in view of the recommendations made by the deans committee at its Sept 8 meeting, the vice-chancellor has granted post facto leave to those employees who are returning on duties. Their salaries will be released in the best interest of the university, the circular said.

It advised the employees who are on strike to immediately join duties and submit leave applications at the earliest for grant of leave and release of salaries.

POSTGRADUATE EXAMS: The Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences has announced that the last date for submission of forms of postgraduate examination without late fee is Sept 27 and with late fee of Rs300 Oct 9.
