HARIPUR, Sept 11: The slain Awami National Party (ANP) MPA and former provincial minister, Akhtar Nawaz Khan, was laid to rest in Khalabat Township here on Thursday evening.

His funeral prayer was attended by the Chief Minister NWFP, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, Speaker NWFP Assembly Hidayatullah Chagharmati, Senior Minister Bashir Ahmed Bilour, Information Minister Mian Iftikhar, Minister for Zakat Nimroz Khan, Minister for Higher Education Qazi Asad, former CM NWFP and MNA Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan, former speaker National Assembly Gohar Ayub Khan, former minister of state for finance Omar Ayub Khan, MPAs Qalandar Khan Lodhi, Barrister Javed Iqbal, Aurangzeb Khan Nalotha, Inayat Ullah Khan Jadoon, Raja Faisal Zaman and a large numbers of his supporters.— Correspondent
