KARACHI, Sept 11: Four ships carrying containers, coal and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Five ships, Global Prosperity to unload and load containers, OBS Swathy to load cement, Noor-e-Median to load clinker, Olypias to offload coal and New Setokaze to unload palm oil were berthed on Thursday after the departure of seven.

The departing ships were led by Hana, Ocala, Keoyoung Prince, Hansa Liberty, Lily Noble, Cape Negro and APL Cairo departed on Thursday, while Soon Fu, APL Chicago, Ibn Sina, New Setokaze and B.W. Captain are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was relatively slow where the total tonnage handled on Thursday fell to 85,188 tons comprising 49,329 tons of export cargo and 35,859 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Friday: Jaipur to load 13,000 tons of cement, Rhoneborg and H. H. Tide with containers and Nanos, with coal.
