Hasan Masood produces all-round show

KARACHI, Sept 10: Hasan Masood’s all-round performance enabled Royal Bank of Scotland to beat Advance Telecom by 40 runs in the AKU Twenty20 Ramazan cricket tournament at the AKU Ground on Tuesday.

Hasan played the pivotal role in his team’s victory. He slammed a rapid-fire 69 off just 34 balls laced with half a dozen boundaries and two sixes as Royal Bank, batting first, reached 180 for six in the allotted 20 overs. Wajid Ali made 36.

Advance Telecom, in reply, were bowled out for 140 in 18.5 overs. Afzal Habib struck 40 with five hits to the boundary and Rizwan Ahmed made 38 which included three sixes and two fours.

Hasan caused the main damage with three wickets for 18 and Salman Butt also took three wickets conceding 43 runs.
