JACOBABAD: Protesters seek inquiry against officer

JACOBABAD, Sept 10: Mazdoor Shehri Ittehad activists staged a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Wednesday against alleged wrongdoings of a district officer of roads.

Talking to journalists, president of the alliance, Ghulam Nabi Rind, Shaban Manjhoo, Hamzo Rind and others alleged that millions of rupees had been misappropriated as substandard material was used in construction of roads as a result of which roads were in a dilapidated condition. They said people of Jacobabad were facing difficulties.

The protesters accused the DO roads of corruption. They demanded immediate suspension of the DO of roads and an inquiry against him.
