HYDERABAD, Sept 9: The Sindh relief secretary, exercising powers under section 3 of the Sindh National Calamities Act-1958, has declared 90 dehs of Kambar, Miro Khan, Warh, Qubo Saeed Khan and Shahdadkot talukas of Qambar-Shahdadkot district as calamity-hit areas, which had been hit by rain or floodwater caused by breaches in canals and drains in 2007.

Under the act, provincial relief commissioner sees to it that law and order is maintained in the calamity-hit areas, carries out survey of damages and compensate the affected people.

According to a notification, the dehs which have been declared calamity-hit for Rabi season are: Kohistan, Jagir-I, Jagir-II, Jagir-VI, Wakro, Dheero, Waryaso, Karohar, Jagir-IV, Jagir-VI, Bagh Jagir, Nauzaman, Jagir-III, Panhwaro, Khahi Meehnoon, Fatoohal, Mohbat Buledi, Koor Suleman, Koor Hassan and Kario Murad Ali of Taluka Kambar; Kalhora, Qaim Gopan, Koor Muhbat, Koor Ismail, Rup, Chajri, Pholehro, Behram Mathion, Koor Ibraheem, Allahabad, Vee, Allah Rakhio and Thull of Taluka Miro Khan; Mirpur, Nang Daro, Theth, Sanhari, Gul Buriro, Hamid Wah, Chandni Jagir, Gharhi Jagir, Chak Bisharat, Mirzapur, Chak Faridabad-I, Chak Faridabad-II, Chak Bisharat, Chak Bisharat Unsurveyed, Hamal Kashiri, Chaka Abad, Gaji Khuhawar, Gharhi Makoro, Jogi, Khandoo, Potho and Kalar of Taluka Warah; Qubo, Dhori, Ishaq, Sumandar, Sarhad, Dur Muhammad, Seer Jamali, Pat No.2, Pat No.I, Jagir, Seer Chandia, Seer Magsi, Trangra, Mugheri, Mast Ali, Bago Daro, Machi, Gadra, Khokhar, Zar, Hakra, Seer Drakhan, Muhammad Hassa, Patoja, Shah Wasayo, Saddique, Falai, Hazar Wah, Pir Bux, Khihawar, Imam Bux, Seer Settlement, and Belati of Taluka Qubo Saeed Khan and dehs Sando and Ganhwar of Taluka Shahdadkot of District Kambar Shahdad Kot.
