KARACHI, Sept 8: Six ships carrying containers and imported wheat are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Kota Gunawan, Hyundai Emperor, Y.M. Improvement and Saigon Express with containers, Lalazar and Azalea Galaxy, both tankers, were berthed on Monday.

Over a dozen ships including Calvin P. Titus, Y.M. Improvement, Harmony, Cotin Harmony Kota Gunawan, Saigon Express, Oel Transworld, Hellen, Islamabad and Atgun sailed out, while CEC Faith, Scorpius, Jia Qiang, Flag Investor, Iran Baghaci and Azalea Galaxy were due to depart on Monday night.

Five more ships, Star Kappa, Team al-Emirates, Hyundai Emperor, Sari and Lalazar, are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 232,000 tons comprising 76,625 tons of export cargo and 156,000 tons of import tonnage was handled during the last two days.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Sea Veteran with 27,499 tons of imported wheat, Lily Noble with project cargo, Cape Negro, Far Singapore, APL Cairo and Hansa Liberty with containers.
